"Systems and methods for providing a user-definable multimedia or digital library are disclosed."
When data is written(created), any data, the multiple segments of a file can be placed anywhere, in unrelated areas of any array. With that, they have the ability to read back sequentially the segments for an ordered file. They can do this contiguously or non contiguously or mixed.
With regard to user definable library sets of any data.....
Even though the system stores data segments contiguously(next to each other) or non contiguously(anywhere).....there is a hierarchy to the system that the user can define to any degree they feel, for directories and subdirectories. With that, security can be defined at any level of anything you feel needs protecting in the hierarchy.
