Shareholder meeting? Check.
Now it's back to business as usual and we continue to wait.
Thanks vdriver and to the others who attended the meeting for posting their impressions here. After having attended two past shareholder meetings in person and having listened to the rest via webcast, I've never felt more 'out of the loop' than today - so I really appreciate it. My thoughts...
1. Sounds as though Vivitar won't likely be the first settlement which is actually good. There was much discussion when they first filed that the amount (assuming a settlement even occurred) would probably be low (less than 1M) due to the size of the company and the fact they were the first. More recent discussions along with the sale would appear to back up that belief. If PN thinks 'it's a mess over there', then Vivitar probably won't amount to much anyway... better for one of the big boys to cough up a fat settlement sooner than later.
2. I'd wondered why they asked for ONLY 50M additional shares. Not sure but I thought that they were about out of the Fusion shares and even 50M won't go very far at 8-10 cents/share. Bet they could almost burn through 50M shares in a year's time so why not ask for more? Interesting if RP said they wouldn't be selling any more shares. That in itself would represent quite a turnaround from the old ways.
3. Any mention of a meeting next year - and then annually from now on? Just curious if the subject came up.
4. I'd hoped that WB would have been up front more and taken a more obvious leadership role... but that's just fine if he continues to perform quietly. He doesn't have to say a word if the share price can ultimately speak for him.
5. I would have loved to hear PN's presentation myself and I'm so glad that he DID present something. It sounds as though I was right about my thoughts from last year. Hey doni, is it too early to say I told you so? Shall we all have the low-hanging-fruit discussion again?
We'll see what the official word is tomorrow but all in all, I'm still confident that they're on the right track. More waiting was all but assurred though I can't see it taking a whole year longer given where we are now and what was said. DM wants their reward too.
