I don't recall anyone coming to that conclusion and I seriously doubt that DM would take EDIG's case on a contingency basis if that is all they were looking to recover.

And if DM ties Apple to EDIG's flash patents I doubt the settlement would be $1 million.

Patent settlements occur because it is in the infringers best interests to settle. Billions of dollars have been settled over time, but compared to the Trillions in revenues the percentage is miniscule.

It's all up to DM to make the case. No one knows how much they are seeking in damages, if or when settlements may occur or whether or not it goes to a trial by jury.

With over 174 identified infringers I suspect we could see a little of everything.
