OT..I do not have anything to offer as far as edig....But

would we have anyone here from England?

I am trying to figure out this system that they have about who is a duke..or an earl..a nobleman..a marquis..a viscount or a goverenor.

I was just reading a thing by Bill Bryson (he doesn't know either about this stuff) on the 5th Duke of Portland..kind of a strange dude.

Now, when I say strange, I mean STRANGE....seems he had a pretty nice house, large estate in fact. He would only communicate with his staff via notes that he would drop into a mail thingie each morning...they would respond the same way.

His meals where delivered via a small railroad system that he had installed years ago...in comes the food and then out goes the dishes...no one ever saw this guy.

One day Mr. Cho Cho does not return, "Oh my" the staff says... so they broke through a door and found # 5 dead. All of the rooms in that part of the house was painted pink without one piece of furniture.

The guy had lived there for years...if you don't believe me check Bill Bryson.

So how do you become a Duke???

Woof..Woof
