Yep, we've been through this a few times.  Yes, EDIG can be shorted by those who can trade on international exchanges.  It is not easy and certainly most Joe Sixpack investors do not short this type of stock.  However, there are traders who specialize in shorting stocks...just one more way to make or lose money.
