That may be, however, if someone is deeply interested, it is not hard to acquire the root understanding.
The industry for the most part, want's you to feel the way you do.
The nomenclature is very mixed....much of what is explained under one modeling, utilizing a specific terminology, ... is also illustrated under many other different terms...for the same circumstance...be it for a physical or virtual condition.
It's all meant to confuse...both the laymen and those trained in the art.
There was a phrase I pasted some time back....from a post that DB posted on patent infringement awards.
Juries do have the capacity to understand...where prior, it was perceived that they could not comprehend. This perspective allowed companies to get away with infringement.
