With a correction.....the system does not simultaneously use multiple flash during the streaming process...it utilizes multiple cache.

The system can manage both NOR and NAND flash on the same device...taking advantage of the attributes of both.

Basically it's the process of  moving the data from flash (paging) through the cache sequences. This sequence can be set to varying levels of streaming...advanced or normal.

This process in comparison to the typical operating systems that do not page...having to load an entire file into RAM . Depending on the application, the largest file size could be multiple megabytes, requiring correspondingly large RAM resource.

They eliminate the bulk of RAM and it's associated power burden.

This process, for the most part, benefits the use and quality of NAND flash... not having the ability of NOR.

IMO...the hunt will be looking for this streaming process where NAND flash is concerned.
