The remarks in my post does not advocate an exclusive deal with the local group (and exclude others who may be involved in the exercise). Even though power from the grid is within reach, this only one of the items to keep in mind, as a friendly gesture (and just in case the connection to the grid is not available), in the overall negotiation strategy. Getting a friendly neighbour on the same side is always a good thing.
