Dr.Chahar actually made 3 purchases of 2000 shares each for a total outlay of about $6000. I would not call that insignificant. And as to his options, he received 300,000 (reported) to date. They are all underwater, so there would be no reason for him to exercise any of them. In fact it is very unusual for anyone to exercise options before they are ready to expire or there is some sort of buyout.
