I just reread the column [as the fisherman said] just for the halibut... Originally [back in '08] I lit up with righteous indignation.

I've matured in the intervening period and my only reaction now is that the author must have been absolutely desperate for material to quote *me* in an article ;-)

...and a brief comment on the reference to the size of MF's shovel in the piece...life has taught me that he who criticizes the size of another man's shovel usually does so out of insecurity as to the size of his own [guess I haven't matured as much as I thought...]
