(PRESS PROFILE TAB FOR FACT SHEET & UPDATES)
Has anybody reviewed past news articles on Dr. Hans Black? I have looked into a few, and find a few interesting things.
ONE: on 16 Aug 2010, Dr Black and Interinvest made the news in association with Amorfix. Link: http://www.newswire.ca/en/releases/archive/August2010/16/c3043.html
The following link to news releases by Amaorfix may not work, so you may need to do your own search, but based on reading the picture this is my current evaluation.
1. Dr. Black/Inerinvest bought up shares, for 10% of the company, with Dr. Black on instaleld on the board of directors.
2. A few months later the company "enhanced business development activities" and added a prominent new member to the board.
3. a series of private placements took place, at least on offering borkered by the same firm Tyhee uses, Loewen, Ondaatje, McCutcheon, Limited . Share price went up, then down, and is now substantially lower than when Dr. Black got on board.
4. the company continues to pursue the development of the diagnostic equipment / patents that were the plan.
5. No major changes to (diversion from) the plan seem to have occurred after Dr.Black joined the firm.
Conclusion: Dr. Black/ Interinvest joining the company did not lead to any major catastrophe. If they succeed with their new diagnoistic equipment, they may make a huge gain.
TWO:
In another article, Dr. Black was interviewed (appearantly he is a frequent guest) on Nightly Business Report (NBR) Market Monitor. back in 2009, he made some accurate forecasts and discussed a gold company. Link:http://www.pbs.org/nbr/site/onair/transcripts/market_monitor_dr_hans_black_says_rally_is_real_090508/
But other than the 2009 appearance (above), and being bumped in Aug 2010 due to a bigger story (Goldman Sachs in trouble over fraud), I can't find any transcripts since Oct 2009. Supposing he will appear no NBR again, it would be a real great coup for Tyhee for him to mention Tyhee!
THREE: A negative issue could be the CBC news article on Dr. Black being accused of misappropriating $5 million in clients funds. The article goes on to discuss a number of accusations made against Dr. Black. Article: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/montreal/story/2009/11/24/hans-black-investigation.html
FOUR:
Dr. Black posts articles as editor of: "the resource investor"
http://www.theresourceinvestor.com/RI-archive/2009/1109-oil.html
My conclusion:
This guy is very active and connected. Like any such person, there is a mix of good and bad write ups. My overall impression and from searching for articles on hime and watching him in video is that his has considerable connections and influence and could well bring in some new investment energy into Tyhee.
I did not find anything that increased my doubths. Quite the opposite, in fact.
