What's the Big Deal about a Big Resource Estimate?

Don't get me wrong. I too think it'd be fabulous to have an enormous revised resource estimate. Who wouldn't be? (ok, maybe some of the posters on Stockhouse).
But, Webb's point is (and I'm not so cynical that I think he's putting a spin on possible poor resource numbers coming out soon), that it's the historical nature of Yellowknife gold deposits that you gain resources as you mine, not so much before production starts. By now we should all understand that.
Should we still be beating a dead horse here?
