Thistine: I phoned my broker this morning. He still has to get back to me. He said the call was that if I was tendering to Cliffs I had to let my broker know by three o'clock this afternoon (Friday) so the brokerage firm would have time to process the request. I told him the young man I was talking to said, very definitly, that Cliffs would be withdrawing their offer at 9 am on Friday morning. The manager said there must have been some miscommunication. I told him he better look into it because I had posted it on a forum exactly as I had been told; and I said it could have have cost thousands of dollars if people panicked and sold their shares. Sometimes they get young people working for them and they haven't a clue. He also wondered if it could have been a crank/hoax call.
I'll post when I hear bck from him.
Gleegee.
