That last year RS Proposition reminded me of the firt Quebec Referendum (1980). On the NO side, there were many many soldiers with only one argument in hand : FEAR. And it worked perfectly. The NO crusaders were talking so loud about the SEPARATION, and the lethal result of it, that most of us did not even read the question that was on the ballot:

"...do you give the Government of Quebec the mandate to negotiate the proposed agreement between Quebec and Canada?"

What Neil seeked support from us was to giving him (the BoD) a power to reverse split if he thinks appropriate to do so before the next AGM.

I still have difficulty to understand how come Neil didn't get our support on that. The Crusade was made, based solely on the calamity that a RS process in itself represents, not on Neil's proposition as presented... And it worked perfectly. FEAR is the greatest liar of all.

That said, I agree that it is no time to bring the heavyload OS concern on the table at this time. Lets live with it, and bring the drills at work. But as Snug eyeblinked : c'mon guys, SPQ SP would not even feel the slightest breeze of what we post here on Agoracom...

Fear Crusaders usually celebrate their victory loudly. Victory from fear is always fragile, however, because the truth will surely appear when the smoke is cleared up. And if one day we may crave for what was voted down, the Fear Messengers are not there anymore... Gone with the wind!

And BTW, going against the fear is generally a good financial advice... Those who dared to get into the Market 12-15 months ago just have give a look to their last 31/12 Investments Report: they'll probably show a large smile on their face!
