Interesting post, as usual. Nice stuff.

Clearly we will have a Democratic government in the USA. In Canada? Good question. My bet is with the Conservatives. It's time for a huge change in US politics; in Canada, we need continued stability.

It's all very interesting what is happening to the USA, and its markets. Many nations have tried to bring the USA down to its knees over these many decades. Russia comes to mind. Moreover, the Taliban and other terrorist organizations presently hate the Great Satan. Maybe China and India will shine, and take the place of the USA. Maybe? What would it be like, I wonder.

But better the devil you know ... - you get the idea. The US markets are not bad - perhaps a just little stupid ... greedy stupid, that is.

I, for one, like our neighbors to the south. And I hope they can work things out ... because they're on their knees ... and not necessarily "in prayer". Their standard of living, which they have sustained through the virtual reality of their monetary and market systems, has been terribly compromised. The US taxpayer is in for some real pain.

Will the US dollar collapse? Maybe? But I don't think it would be in the best interest of Canada, or any of the other first world nations. Let's hope we can get a balance.
