Message: Re: day traders.... a problem for many years

SOMEHOW, many years ago SPQ become a popular drop in centre for day traders ...very unfortunately. (...maybe it was because neil novak consistantly, year after year, led the way to finding the right drill locations and we continually had great results seasonally, which gave attenion to some day traders)

If you want to know the source of the day trading phenomenon, have a look at the 10 year price chart. You may need a larger version to see the exact details, but what you are looking for is the annual spike in SP at about the Feb-Mar timeframe every year. This spike is at least a double of the annual low, and in many cases, it was 3-4 times annual low. I know, this is how I have, to this point, played this stock for the last 10 years.

Once I found this website in October, however, I have been watching the forums closely, and found it a great source for DD. Since Oct, I have reinvested into SPQ, and several of the other area players. I remain firmly convinced that these stocks will produce great return on my investment, although the timeline for this is now a little further out than I had hoped for.

But, my hopes were not really based on reality, and I have been one of the voices trying to convince others that exploration takes time, and we must all wait for the tale of the drill core.

Would a reverse split, at current share prices, be a deterrent for daytraders? I haven't made up my mind. I am sure that day traders and manipulators are in effect for most shares. I still think that we will continue to see daytraders here until a bunch of them get killed by an ill-timed shorting followed by a one way share price climb. IMO, this is just a matter of time, but I think it will be a matter of weeks, not years.
