Hi duncanmcl . If you Google Greg Noval lawsuits you will find a number of class action lawsuits that were brought against Greg Noval, Robert Pilling and Mike Coolen over the Mariner drilling. Greg Noval was in a serious car crash and was in serious condition for a number of weeks and his lawyers advised him for estate planning just in case to sell a number of his SNG shares which was done just before the Mariner well was completed. When Mariner turned out to be non commercial and was plugged and abandoned, I believe three class action law suits were launched in Canada and the USA claiming that he knew the well wasn't commercial before the announcement and sold his shares. His defence claimed that he was in the hospital in serious condition and that his lawyers advised him to sell the shares to go to his estate. SNG has insurance for such lawsuits and they were settled by the insurance company.
