Categorizing as illegal doesn't mean it isn't happening. You seem to be relatively new to following this issue.
Follow the trading for a while and you will find that at various times of the day as well as at closing if the situation exists where the ask is higher than the last trade Ie: last trade 26 so price 26; bid 26 ask 27 then there will be a block of 500 shares purchased by CIBC to make the price 27.
As I said its more irritating then anything else as the price move is not substantive and as you might see from the recent history the price range of this stock is quite limited.
Also take some time and review the bulletin board on Stockhouse. The true motivation for the posters may well be subject to conjecture but the fact remains they are driven by some agenda well outside the wish to participate in any form of general discussion on issues related to this stock.
