My contention is that the statement is truthful in the very areas that this class of investor wants to know about. And that any perceived fault is merely a matter of "mathematical nitpicking" about details that these investors seldom care about - even when they do know about them.

You immediately counter with the innuendo that the statement is misleading investors into making decisions based on faulty information.
