San Gold Corporation - one of Canada's most exciting new exploration companies and gold producers.
..
So the company spends a fortune on drilling, then they let Ned analyze the cores for free, and in private, with a hand-held XRF so he can have an advantage over everyone else...........Pinawanian, does not seem fair does it to the average investor trying to make an honest buck. Lets look at what can happen here in Canada relating to the mining sector. Pinawanian since your mining claims show alot of gold potential you decide to raise capital to drill. Your visits to the capital markets quickly tell you no we will not fund you at $ 0 .30 but will at $ 0 .15. The markets are tight so you hear about the sharks ( wink, blink ans nod ) with access to the exchange, financial and public television and you gamble on what you hope was the right choice as if their was another since Nod controls most of the going on"s in Canada. Drilling proves to be hitting some gold so the backers are called to come running with their high teck tools for a quick scan at their fortunes. The cycle repeats as more capital is raised and yes flowthrough, shorts, PP all help to keep the backers price down and allows them to accumulate more shares if the XRF tool see"s the glitter. The junior mining sector enjoys tax benifits like flowthrough which raises cash and allows the contributer to write 100 % of the investment off. San can only spend this on development and cannot consider the oz as production. I only guess here but co, have a bit of leeway here as where these oz end up ( dev vs pro ) and how PP and Flowthrough are calculated on the balance sheet for tax purposes. My-self having 35 yrs investing only in the junior mining sector can follow Sans mining / politics as the Greens unfold. ...with out prejudice ,. PS'
