I would not choose to put my parents or myself on that drug.

Risk of brain swelling and equivocal results as to effects. No thanks.

But...Apabetalone still needs to pass a trial designed for dementia, not just a sub study.

It was also not completely clear WHY it worked only for the more severely affected patients. (Was it?)

If it does pass a trial designed for dementa, that would be great. But it has yet to be "proven", and at present is only promising.

We'll get there. Whether we get there too late to matter is another question. But i suspect there may be reason to look at multiple neurological indications.
