Talks with BP have been going on for years per DM, and I would tend to think they likely have been ongoing with several/many... pharma.

Over these same years the sellers price has increased as the science of 208 has improved which moves the goal line. 

Buyer and seller have yet to find the right terms for a buyout. It will come.... sooner than later most of us would hope!
