From what I can tell, the patent describes various crystalline forms of Apabetalone that apparently lead to a longer shelf life, better solubility, etc.  At present, the patent claims, "there is no patent or literature about crystalline forms of Apabetalone [0015]" and "The inventor of the present disclosure has solved this difficult problem after a lot of experimental research ..." 

Looks like they have at least 9 different types of crystalline forms.  Not sure what this implies - maybe just related to the manufacturing process.  Makes me a bit uncomfortable without knowing much about the Chinese company.  I had always imagined Hepalink would be responsible for the manufacture of ABL and that they would be the ones finding the best ways to manufacture it, but I could be way wrong.
