Message: CHIP and heart attacks and strokes - inflammation

There is a very interesting link by rndtbl on IV re stem cell mutations causing white blood cell mutations associated with plaque build up (mutated white blood cells) and subsequent chances for heart attacks and strokes.

I'd like to hear from the experts on this. It reminds me of when I had the idea that apabetalone (or the resulting increases in HDL-C) swims around the blood stream picking up loose fatty plaques (RTC) and delivers them to the liver for disposal.

Obviously I'm not a scientists. The article refers to CHIP being the possible "black hole" in heart attacks in healthy people.
