Interetsing POV narmac.
I certainly don't believe that the financing won't be done. It is chump change for Eastern.
So my hypothesis is that Don has been working on a major partnership deal for almost a year or whatever. I see this as another Hepa deal with independent territorial rights (rites?) or a synergistic partner in drug development. However, given that Don was going to announce a deal last fall (and then tried to seep it under the carpet) sort of suggests it has not been an easy sell.
If FA fails on 3 point MACE there is also the secondary measures including 5 pt MACE. Of course the stock will be killed but there seems to be alot of scientific value remaining and some investor will get it cheap. Think about orphan trials etc and the work being done by independent scientists.
Anyway, all of the information flowing out from this company has been very positive since Sept 2013 when the post hoc findings began to be published. The list of accomplishments has been long and continuous and now it is topped off with FDA approval of apabetalone for BoM in the USA!
Of course I am totally in the dark about anything that is happening but I sure don't think Aug 28th is a big deal. Anything can be negotiated .
