Message: Koo, many do not understand short selling....

Shorting to me is a vital statistic, but I know I'm not you're average type in that regard....I've asked investors many times to explain short selling to me and most simply understand it as a "bet" that the PPS is going to drop.....not understanding how shorting in of itself can cause the PPS to fall.

Its like lots of retail investors think there's a magic formula that the market uses to determine what the share price should be, not realizing that ultimately its simply the level of demand versus the available supply of shares.  Sure lots of fundamental data can influence those two essential elements...causing people to buy or sell, but look at a stock like TSLA....if people fall in love with a stock, no matter how much of a bleeding pig it is... it can still climb and slaughter short sellers.

A lot of retail investors here, I have zero doubt, will look at the financing deal....and then having seen the PPS crater afterward, they will draw a cause and effect relationship.  They'll figure that the magic formula is the reason the PPS fell, and that short sellers simply guessed right.  They won't consider the mere fact of borrowing and dumping back over 600K shares....how that activity in a stock that typically trades just 30/40K shares a day will drive the PPS down big.

When dealing with bully tactics its important not to overplay your hand.....whoever is behind this short attack, they're not poor. So imo its essential to use only those funds which one can afford to walk away from for an indertminate period.....use money that you're going to need in a few weeks, a few months...or even in the next year or so, then you could be in a situation where you're forced to sell at a loss.

GLTA.....its always been a marathon, and now imo the course just became longer.
