Well said JB...and yeah I've seen that report and it's a bit mind boggling with the values. Like you said, you buy now and it drops 20 cents or whatever..who really cares when you're looking at potential upsides of...well god who knows, skies really the limit here.
I have been doing some reading on the utica, and the drilling really dates back far. Many companies have been there and drilled and it seems many of them have hit pretty high levels of gas...it's just that the technology is now here to do it properly! Which is why I believe that in a full production scenario, the big boys will bring many drills and giver heck to bring this into a major producer.
That Encana study that was done a few years ago is the best read. A company like them, using samples and previous results...estimated 35-163bcf, recoverable of 24tcf.....honestly, 10tcf would be whopping, but as drilling gets more advanced and the play is proven up, it's really anyones guess as to how much gas could be in place.
