For a long time I was a disbeliever in global warming. Two people whom are amoung the smartest individuals I know seem 100% sure we are causing global warming. One is with NASA, the other was a big wheel in the petroleum/pipeline industry. As well, most scientists seem behind it. The change up to now has been small, but I think the ball is just starting to roll, and the change has been in a relatively short period of time. The trouble with it is is we are talking averages of a fraction to two degrees on average, though they say it will be higher nearer the poles, and more so over land. Sitting in Toronto, Saskatoon or Des Moines, we can't see it, we still have warm days and cold days, but it is that bloody average that changes. I don't think it is a natural trend, though I used to.

The Al Gore thing is sadly true I think, but I don't think the whole story is a scam meant to make someone $. From what I know, at the pace we are going, we could be over a barrel (pardon the pun) in about 30 yrs,a nd we won't be out of coal and oil then. So, we have to do something, or our children and grandchildren will have a hell of a mess, even worse that the nat'l debt my generation was left with!
