I was stationed in Moosonee back in '75 and that country around Marten Falls is all muskeg..

Accessable only by air or winter road..

You can jump up and down anywhere up there ,in summer,and the ground shakes like jumping up and down on a big bowl of jelly..

The flys and bugs would eat you alive..

And the native land claims cover most of that area and the reserves are all around that country..

Definately not friendly to road construction of any kind..even the winter roads are "iffy"..
