With this doom and gloom I wonder how much it would cost us to buy the Golden Mile. I think for a small outfit with a group of hardworking guys like us, we should be able to make a killing.

There is something like 44,000 ounces of high grade(1 ounce per tonne) gold just in the trenches, so no need for deep digging. Should be easy picking. Total value is something like 44 million. When the strawberry season is over we can hire some underemployed labour to pick gold nuggets at a pretty low cost; lets say we buy it for 5 million and we still can have the Las Vegas party.
