Montrose2 - great q - how quickly can you tell if they hit uranium.

The geos told me that when you hit serious uranium the news is out the same day. The weight of the core box goes from 85 lbs to 200-300 lbs (i.e. not liftable by one guy anymore), all the detectors go off, all the drill rod and cores have to be abandoned to the people in hazard suits and the rig gets moved off pronto.

We might not get that kind of result first off - the point is to box in the possbilities, so the spread of news could be anywhere from normal time to same day. But a big find (assuming that the mother lode really is there, could happen on 3rd hole or 30th hole when you're this close) spreads like wildfire - cf. the last big 2 finds, e.g. Hathor.

northvalue - respect your point, just wanted to quell a bunfight. We've all suffered so much and so long, sheesh!, and now it feels we're the landing party on Pirate Island with six buried chests and we have some kind of a map.

konor you cracked me up.
