Went through the drill table and crunched some gm*metres( width * grade) numbers to compare with previous results to see if the sky was falling or a passing flock. The numbers I get are:
# of GM holes = 42
# of holes > 7 gm*m = 10 or 24 % or 1 in 4 hit ratio
# of holes > 10 gm*m = 5 or 12 % or 1 in 8 high grade hit ratio
Previous results released in the Jan 22 press :
Almost 1/3 (30.4%) of the 217 drill holes in the central Golden Mile returned greater than 7 gram*metres of gold mineralization, and 37 of those drill holes returned greater than 10gram*metres of gold mineralization, a high grade “hit ratio” of 17%, or approximately 1 in 5 holes;
So the numbers are down but not disastrous. We would all prefer if there were some bonanza grades but let's bring on the NI 43-101 resource estimate. I hope they publish a new long section so I can re-calculate my own estimate. There's gold everywhere on the property but not as concentrated as some types of deposits so it will take longer to define the full potential. Just reviewed another number :14 of 42 holes (33 %) had intercepts > 3 gpt versus 38 % in the Jan 22 release. Now where's that glass of wine.
