IMO stock options, ( as an overhanging liability ), must be a nightmare to administer, even for small exploration companies. On top of it, many are way too generous.
My idea would be to award options for a fixed period ( years ), but exercisable at any time with an attached discount to the prevailing SP.
Maybe 25 % for the top brass, down to 10 % for certain management positions. So the exercise time is the speculation of the holder.
Does anyone has an idea of how many shares we retailers on this forum might control ? My estimate might be around 2 %. So we are very eager, but with hardly any say or influence.
