During the second KXL presentation at PDAC in March we discussed drilling underneath Golden Pond with Brian Maher. His response was that the original plan was to drill underneath Golden Pond from the ice this past winter. However, due to poor ice conditions that did not happen. Their plan B was to angle drill it after spring thaw from the shore. Maybe it's possible that the relatively higher cost are associated with the added cost of the lenghtier holes needed to get out underneath the pond. Furthermore the angles might mean that even though the holes are of considerable length it might not translate into a corresponding equal depth. Would appreciate your ideas on this.
