Yes of course. It was the locked-in nature of the account and not the control of the funds that I was refering to. What's frustrating is looking at holding shares in both RSP and TFSA accounts and knowing some shares will in essence be worth less to me because of the tax that I will have to pay. Especially because I still have room left in my TFSA. Thanks for pointing out a possible point of misunderstanding and hope that clarifies.
