A symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit. You scratch my back and I will scratch yours. POET could never focus on the kind of effort that has made CAI what it is today. It is outside the bounds of POETs expertise and obviously their financial capability. So the light source that has been co-developed is exclusively POETs and will be used by CAI and anyone else who is trying to overcome the memory wall.

POET has enough on their plate and that is an understatement.

Let's be clear about this. It is total conjecture on my part but it makes so much sense.

On a related subject let's look at slide 18 which outlines POET’s platform capability to produce neuromorphic computing which industry has apparently given up on in favor of chip to chip optical connectivity to access memory.
