This is a good point by ITTR. Most VC investors, if not all, will only invest pre-IPO and not touch a company like POET. They want the big IPO bounce and know that is where the multiple returns are usually found.

POET has endured a fairly long road for a pre-revenue company. Once they hit real revenue, their bounce up and to the right should look like an IPO. If, if, if.

Their list of deals in process, deals done, and deals likely is impressive. Is this adequate leverage to work on a JV or other vehicle to fund the last leg before revenue solves the burn rate? Their silence gives me confidence and the jitters.

The "why don't insiders buy" question keeps coming up. Can they buy during a negotiation for a JV or other raise that will make a material difference? Probably not. Also, many would complain that they bought after this debacle, and they'd be under the suspicion of having allowed it just to buy cheap shares. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Lastly, the low amount they raised gives me some confidence that they actually have a better solution that will be announced soon enough to not need another debacle raise.
