You can earn activity points by filling your profile with information about yourself (what city you live in, your favorite team, blogs etc.)
At this point in time people are giving in to their worst fears. People have been posting views/concerns that the technology and commercial development was in jeopardy. At the very least this news release is providing some insight that this is not the case. And just so people know all of POET's patents are owned by POET and shareholders own POET not the inventors.
