Apple was selling to consumers. THAT was perfect for the personality of Steve Jobs. 

POET will be selling to the companies that sell to the companies that sell to consumers. After some success, they can eventually be more direct, but that will take time. 

THEN they will need more charisma on the sales front.

But at each stage, the market should have a clear narrative of what POET creates to refer to.
