FJ said "The only logical answer that I can come up with is that the funds that POET has been talking with can only buy the stock when it uplists to the NASDAQ."

This is the argument for those looking feeling skeptical on the NASDAQ listing (I am not one of them). The funds care about one thing, returns. Their interests are not necessarily aligned with POET. So if POET uplists just because the funds said it was a good idea, that's not the path we all want. We're gonna need a little more than that.

venture - a risky or daring journey or undertaking

Why go to the NASDAQ now?  To me the logicial reason is that definition of venture no longer applies, and our guys must have the proof to share.

Cookie just told us "Future revenue potential and margins are things their analysts look at ." and he is right on.  The time is right to go the NASDAQ when you have confirmation of revenue and future revenue growth.  I have faith that management understands this.  I will wait for them to confirm.  On the optimistic side our time line has shifted from "soon" to "ASAP."

Good luck,

P.S.  A CFO always wants more capital.  I am not buying the "we don't need money now" story.  I am sure Suresh has a very long list of things he would like to plow resources into.  Be ready, and make sure you're wearing your ROI lenses when you see it.
