Misguided? BCD I thought I would provide my view without pointing fingers but you apparently believe I am misguided. So I will clarify my points.
At 10:13 you posted something very negative and recieved 39 thumbsup. There is really only two ways to view that kind of support for a shoft bash as you continue place doubt in people’s minds on share price expectations.
Yesterday morning POET was trading in the typical range we have seen recently with a base above a $1. And at the moment in time you posted your negative views which ultimately received significant support by like minded people. Whether traders or just people who want to voice complaints about the company. The effect is the same.
Mironclaw had just posted an important patent that had just been granted for wafer level hermetic sealing which as we know will be important for 5G. Of course no one had an opportunity to get into that good news because immediately after that post you dropped you’re the “sky is falling” post.
Warrants and volume:
My concern is that we have a few months until warrant expiry for several million warrants. We currently do not have the volume to absorb much selling pressure, should the warrant holders need to sell in order to convert.
Somehow the company needs to put out news that will create million share trading days, for an extended period of time to allow the warrants to convert without tanking the Share price to the strike price. And they only have a few months to do it.
So far none of these conferences has had this effect; even as hopeful as we all were for the OFC it has not resulted in the type of buying we would need to keep the SP from dropping. So I am not convinced CIOE will do the trick on its own.
So you say that there is currently not enough volume to absorb much selling pressure. You got that right. At this moment in time the volume is relatively low (so it is relatively easy to make the stock move south). But we know by what management have signaled to us that there is a significant amount of good news in the pipeline. The kind of news needed to prepare POET for the NADAQ.
Yet here you are promoting the idea that POET does not have the levers to create the kind of news that will create the heavy buying that will elevate the share price such that warrant holds will have a great market for exercising warrants. And I most certainly expect that there is enough communications with warrant holders to support the belief that significant news will be issued.
You claim that OFC did not have the positive effect on the share price that many here expected. But once again you seem to be missing the point of being invested in this company. They have done great things and will continue to do great things. And at some point this stock is going to be recognised for these achievements and that point in time could come very soon.
So immediately prior to your post at 10:15 Mironclaw posts this patent grant:
It becomes overshadowed by your negative post which will lead some readers to think the stock has no hope of going up because POET is apparently powerless to generate the kind of buying required for the stock to run. Norret responded to the following point you made:
Somehow the company needs to put out news that will create million share trading days, for an extended period of time to allow the warrants to convert without tanking the Share price to the strike price.
Norret: BCD all they need is a week similar to early last month. I don't believe there was any news as a catalyst for this either.

And just to add to the point Norret is making the higher the share price moves up the fewer the shares that will need to be sold to cover the cost to exercise the .52 warrants that remain. But no you are promoting the idea that the stock will collapse toward the exercise price such that more will have to be sold to pay of those shares as opposed to less because the company has news in the pipeline.
BCD your post at 10:13 was a soft bash. The share price when you made those negative comments was $1.04. It was even on the day so far.
