You are right, this is not about an interposer. Poets trick is to "give the light" to the established Silicon Chips.
For sure Smart Photonics is doing highly interesting things, - but all they are doing is focussed on InP-wafers. Does it resemble a little to the old Poet with their GaAs-integration? POET also had their PDK...
