sulasailor: I wonder what Super Photonics translates to in Mandarin Shash? It might well sound a tad more exciting to the Chinese ear than the comic book tone it conveys in English.
Sula, I tried to post the Mandarin for this, but because it is a foreign language Agoracom.com Admin won't allow it to be posted. I have not read all the replies to your post yet, not even close, but I suspect someone has already addressed this issue. Since I can't use Pin Yin or Mandarin characters I will try to invent some thing Agoracom will accept, unfortunately without any expression of the Mandarin tones, which really are essential but which Agoracom won't allow.
Very roughly (Very!!!) : Chow Jee would approximate Mandarin for "Super" and Gwang zuh approximates Mandarin for "Photon". The word Gwang in Mandarin ( again, very rough approximation because tone indication is essential and I can't use the tone marks here ) is the word for "Light" So, it would translate roughly into "Super Photon" in Mandarin. Hope this gets through the filter, since it is perfectly polite otherwise. Okiedo
