Yes Millview's  Trevor Hall  has worked with folks from Huawei Ottawa on a silicon nitride platform which solved some of the trade-offs between SOI (Silicon on Insulator) and SOS (Silica on Silicon) but did  not come close to achieving the kind of  performance and flexibility offered by POET's dielectric optical interposer.
