There are presently no founderies capable of producing a 12 inch Indium Phosphide wafer.
The equipment in Malasyia is 8" and that is pressing the boundaries of InP wafer growth. Quite likely why Silterra required POET to pony up money to co-purchase it. Macon can only do 4 inch
Most InP wafers are normally in the 2 to 4 inch range. The thickness required for the OI die may be a factor in the deposition rates as they relate to of wafer diameter.
