I found his answer was quite interesting, "we're pleased with the way it got worked out." To me this means either the consortium had to pony up the cash in a timely manner and forget all the ODI crapola or the third party could be joining into whatever supply/sales agreements with Poet they were interested in the first place. At the very least Poet got something they wanted, perhaps the 3rd party got something they wanted as well?
Also 100 and 200g platforms are taking Center stage, Mika alluded to this in his last presentation and now we know why. The 400g players are not ready to roll out yet, it really is rocket science! Fortunately for all the end customers, the interposer is scalable, meaning they won't be spending money redundantly on the infrastructure. Just swap out the transceiver and viola 400- 800 and who knows how high (I never watched all the new star treks)
And to think all those times I said "come on, it ain't rocket science." Tsk tsk
