We should learn from our experience of video conferencing that their purpose, an important one, is to inform a wider audience than shareholders of the POET offering.
Currently the information PTI wish to get out there is that POET has a high performance Optical Interposer ready for customers that will outperform other options at far less cost that can easily designed to integrated with their PIC products. This is aimed at attracting a floodgates of orders.
For some reason we here imagine the PR exercise is about elevating the SP. Surely, that comes later when the orders flow in and revenues can be projected.
When the Tier 1 (Customer One) wishes it to be known that it has a product containing the POET Optical Interposer. PTI I'm sure will announce that in the usual way by News Report. I can't imagine that will happen until customer one has tested its product containing the POET Optical Interposer, sometime in the second half of this year. Let's not get ahead of ourselves and set ourselves up for disappointment.
