Dear POET pals,
The recent epidemic of anxt wridden traumas that have beenportrayed here: the delayed AGM, the closing of the DL deal, the scare over potential funding requirements, scheduled payments for DL, are all self generated and seem to me to be totally wet, limp wristed, gloom laden portrayals of a company that in reality is primed to breakout into a burgeoning market for opto electronic products.
Here in the UK the pundits are pushing certain 5G firms as hot tips for this breakout technology. POET through the DL sale will be positioned to supply this market with the ramp up effect of a new fab set up in China's Venice by the consortium and indeed by DL Singapore in the meantime. Well, That's my guess at least from the observable indications.
Besides this, management has opted to focus on 400G albeit in a longer timeframe than existed for the previous 100G plans, but with the plus of a realistic ability and intention of hitting the 400G market at its sweet spot. In any case it's previous 100G ambitions are more easily achievable once 400G is launched.
So here we are awaiting completion of internal testing of the POET OI offering in this soon to close quarter, with every indication that all is well. Certainly from the tone of management at several briefing opportunities and the reality that in IC testin terms failure curves are heavily weighted to the starting end of testing not the back end. Confidence prevails, so much so that the dinamic duo have been working to brief analysts of the POET OI ability to disrupt the OIC market. All this being done in full view, and presumably with the sanction, of its Number One Tier One Customer. A customer who has enthusiastically prompted PTK to cooperate with them thereby gaining a lead in the potential 400G datacenter boom they wish to enter with a product containing the disruptive POET OI.
Apart from being an investment minnow in a big pond, there is nothing not to like about being invested in PTK at present. Baba will no doubt find something to burst my bubble, regardless I advise calm the anxt, turn up the confidence levels here and this board may actually promote the genuine opportunity PTK represents to the many potential investors who undoubtedly are taking an occasional peep at opinion here as word gets out. That's how snowballs get nudged off precarious perches to my mind not weeping into ones cuffs.
And finally a word on timing.
Why did the dynamic duo chose last the last few weeks of November to do their bidding? Because Santa little helpers are very busy and it's high time for us longs, who've been very good girls and boys, to get a present.
