CM,

The way the stock is trading, I'm thinking big, I'm thinking it may be Taco Bell that is the DL buyer, and that the "interposer" is actually code for a process that will facilitate the making of tortillas - they will make them faster, cheaper and tastier. My inside sources tell me that this process is absolutely disruptive!

Now, when other fast food chains get wind of this, and perhaps some already have (those are the ones with which Poet has entered NDAs), you can imagine the bidding war that will ensue (I'm thinking that's what No MBA was alluding to earlier today - actually, the speculation in that post is the inspiration for this post).

Chipolte is likely terrified with the prospect of Taco Bell controlling this technology; it will make poisoning customers seem like child's play in terms of its effect on Chipotle's market cap.  El Pollo Loco surely has its feathers ruffled by this development. And don't forget that so many of the multinational fast food chains offer tacos and/or burritos, they'd better sign up quickly with Poet and get licensed, or risk being one of many deep pockets in a brutal bidding war.

So, that's what I think is up, and I'm not sure it's a bad thing.
