This is why in my opinion POET needs to have agreements in place with all the major companies that will feel threatened by the relationship with the buyer of DL.

Again in order to accept this outcome or the potential that anyone would feel threatened by the relationship with the buyer you first have to accept or at least consider the possibility that this platform provides the greatest cost effective advantages available to industry as per POETs public disclosure. If it does provide the lowest costs (said to enable 60% (or something like that) gross margin improvement) along with the technical advantages that have been talked about re the combining of the most advanced fabrication and assembly techniques that are now quickly being adopted by the semiconductor industry and combining photonics within the same wafer level chip scale packaging processes. It really makes it very quick to adopt within the industry.

POET needs to keep control of this technology at least until the products begin shipping. I will be curious to see what the public disclosed debenture term sheet looks like. If the same description for the “Use of proceeds” that was used for the private and confidential term sheet associated with the first tranche it will catch your attention. And I can assure Jack that it did not say it was “to keep the lights on”.
